Hickory Huskers

Hardwood History

19nine has teamed up with the Historic Hoosier Gym to present our Hickory Huskers logo vintage t-shirt.  The gym is located in Knightstown, Indiana and opened in 1922 originally to be used as the gym for Knightstown Community Schools. In 1966 the school played its last game in the gym and it stayed largely unused for the next 20 years.

In 1986 a film crew descended on the tiny gym to use as the home gym of the fictional Hickory Huskers.  The rest is history.  The Hoosier Gym has since become a tourist attraction hosting thousands of visitors every year.  It also host the “Hoosier Classic” which features the state’s best players playing as Hickory and Terhune, two teams featured in the movie.

Hoosier Gym is a non for profit organization.  A portion of the proceeds from this shirt will benefit the Hoosier Gym.  The Hickory Huskers vintage t-shirt is also for sale at the Hoosier Gym.
