The 1984 Final Four was played on March 31 and April 2, 1984. The tournament was held in Seattle, Washington, and featured four teams: Georgetown, Kentucky, Houston, and Virginia.
In the first national semifinal game, Georgetown defeated Kentucky 53-40. In the second game, Houston defeated Virginia 49-47.
The championship game was played on April 2, 1984, and featured Georgetown and Houston. Georgetown won the game 84-75, giving the Hoyas their first national championship in school history. Georgetown was led by center Patrick Ewing, who scored 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in the championship game. Ewing was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.
