Oklahoma State's 2003-2004 season is one of the best in school history, however it will be most remembered for one shot. In the Elite 8, the Cowboys found themselves down 62-61 hole with 29.9 seconds left and no timeouts remaining.
As the clock wound down to 13.3 seconds John Lucas passed the ball to Joey Graham at the top of the key. When Graham went to drive he stumbled before passing the ball back to Lucas on the wing.
“I just let it go,” Lucas said. “No hesitation. When it left my hand, I felt like it was good.”
It was. The shot put Oklahoma State in the Final Four and lives forever in March Madness lore.
