Syracuse '87 Hoodie
The Syracuse Orange entered the 1986-1987 season ranked #15 in the AP Preseason Poll and rose to #5 after rattling off 14 straight wins to start the season. Jim Boeheim's team was led by sophmore guard Sherman Douglas, junior center Rony Seikaly and freshman phenom Derrick Coleman.
A 23-5 regular season record and trip to the Big East Tournament Championship game was good enough to secure the Orange a #2 seed in the East Regional of the NCAA Tournament.
After an early scare against Georgia Southern, a route of Western Kentucky, a 6 point win over Florida, and a thriller against #1 seed North Carolina the 'Cuse were headed to New Orleans and the Final Four.
After defeating a Cinderella Providence team for the 3rd time during the season the stage was set for a National Championship showdown with Bob Knight and the #1 seed Indiana Hoosiers. Not even a Keith Smart baseline jumper could ruin the season that was for Syracuse and the promise of what was to come.
Our Syracuse '87 vintage hoodie is designed off the script used on the front of the jerseys worn by the 1987 National Runner-Up.
