Kelvin Sampson's Washington State team entered the 1993-1994 season on the heels of a 15-12 record the previous year. But the Cougar faithful had plenty to be excited about. Washington State returned every key piece except leading scorer Bennie Seltzer and added key freshmen guards Isaac Fontaine and Dominic Ellison.
Led by a balanced scoring attack of Tony Harris, Eddie Hill, Fred Ferguson and Mark Hendrickson, WSU started the season 10-2. The Cougars finished the season 20-10 earning an at large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
