      UMass Legacy Collection

The '91-92 UMass Minutemen entered the season unranked and off the national radar.  That was before John Calipari's team went 24-4 and 13-3 in conference to become the A-10 regular season champs.  UMass also won the conference tournament and entered the NCAA Tournament ranked 17th in the country which was good enough for a #3 seed in the East Regional.

The Minutemen made short work of their first round opponent, Fordham, before running into Big EAST juggernaut Syracuse.  Led by Jim McCoy's 24 point performance, UMass escaped with a 77-71 overtime victory to reach the Sweet 16.

High quality representation

I attended my first UMass game in 1990 and Jim Mcoy and Willie Herndon wowed me there h games. I was instantly drawn to this team. Umass was wearing the home version of these shorts at the time and I remember watching them wearing the away/maroon shorts as the program improved via Calipari. These are a fantastic representation of those same shorts (my 4th pair of 19nines), comfortable and good materials. My only-ish criticism is I wished for the color to be a darker shade of maroon as I remember the originals being darker…all in all they are awesome though.
