Hardwood History
Al McGuire's first season at Marquette was the 1964-1965 season. In what would become one of college basketball's most legendary runs, McGuire would transform Marquette University into a national power on the hardwood. He also would revolutionize the college basketball uniform industry. From the bumble bees to the tiger camo to the untucked jerseys, Marquette was always in front of college basketball fashion's cutting edge.
Our 1960's Logo shirt brings back a classic from the McGuire years. Often referred to as the "Death Star" this logo was used on the warm-ups of the late '60s Marquette teams. The same teams that made 2 Sweet 16's and provided the foundation for Final Four's to come.
